• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    NAV1 / NAV2 / ADF id gauge?

Presumably it would then make sense to have the gauge folders in the individual aircraft panel folders rather than in the default root gauge folder? I appreciate your time Tom. FS2004 keeps on giving - so much to experiment with, never known a program like it! Cheers Jont

    NAV1 / NAV2 / ADF id gauge?

Thanks Tom - I thought so..... BTW - does the SIM take longer to unpack .cab files as opposed to leaving them unpacked in a folder? (Just discovered cabdir.exe) Cheers Jont P.s. Many thanks for the additional code.

    NAV1 / NAV2 / ADF id gauge?

Hi Tom Thanks for your input. So does that mean you are hovering over the gauge to display the id or is it permanently on? Still getting to grips with understanding the code! Cheers Jont

    NAV1 / NAV2 / ADF id gauge?

Hi again - I have really enjoyed the research - below is what I have come up with. It displays NAV1 id and I can place it anywhere with FS Panel Studio. Now that I am beginning to understand how this all works - I shall embark on a much more refined gauge to show NAV1, NAV2 and ADF id 's. (...

    NAV1 / NAV2 / ADF id gauge?

Hi I have absolutely no experience of coding XML panel gauges. For those with the knowledge, would it be possible to create a small glass gauge that simply gave the appropriate NAV1 / NAV2 and ADF id's? I choose only to fly with 'steam gauges' and without a GPS. As you know, with steam gauges...

    FS2004 FS2004 Aircraft mdl's

Hi Arno It is a while since I last used ModelConverterX - way back in 2013/4. (I think it was MCX 1.4). At the time, the importing and exporting of FS2004 aircraft mdl's was problematic. Have there been any improvements since then? Many thanks Jont

FSXA FS9 -> FSX aircraft model conversion (an experiment)

BTW - are there any visual differences between tfs A380-800 EA and RR mdls. I have merged the two in MCX and can't see anything - will save a heck of a lot of time if there isn't!! Cheers Jont

FSXA FS9 -> FSX aircraft model conversion (an experiment)

.....and just to confirm - all the ai I have converted have worked just as they should in FSX. You could try substituting a known working aircraft.cfg and / or a known working .air file - of course you'll need to rename various bits of them to get them to work - but that's what all the fun is...

FSXA FS9 -> FSX aircraft model conversion (an experiment)

Hi With the help of this excellent thread, I have managed to convert a great deal of my FS9 ai jet aircraft. However - I am struggling to sort the aia B747-400 (RR) - no matter what I do with MCX and the object and animation editor - on conversion to FSX, I end up with odd protruding slats even...
