Hello everyone :)

Today, I'll show you my work, started 2 weeks ago :) my city's airstrip :) (Wich is a "learning" scenery for me, as I project to do another later)

Everything is done with Sketchup Make 2015 (the freeware)

Hangar (5days)


Home (4days)


Fuel Tank (2houres)


Runway Sign (3houres)


And my Ground Poly (4days, WIP)




Then, I have a Texture problem when I select marking and creat a new Group

It looks really nice! You got some pretty nice details going and the ground textures look good. Just a tip: check out blender. It's a free modeling program and it allows you to bake ambient occlusion and lighting as well as direct export to fsx mdl via the blenderfsx toolset.
 
Thanks, I've already tryed it .... not a succses xD so I'll keep sketchup, as It got ebery thing I need :) and because it is very easy too :)
 
I can understand, it's quite hard to get used to and it will take some time. Maybe later on you'll decide to change but for the moment your sketchup models look great!

If you want to some advices using Sketchup, feel free to MP me (as I'm french too, it could be easier for you). We have developped LFOZ using only Sketchup for modelling, with a quite nice result, it would be nice too share our experiences.

Sure, maybe one day, when I will got more experience, maybe I'll change :), thanks for liking the models :) as I've not spent a lot of time, I'm sure, I can do better things with it :)

If I could learn how to do ground poly's in sketchup, that would be great. But back to your work: looks good so far, lets see how it looks in the sim.

Ground poly on Sketchup us used by a few developer, othere uses GMax, 3DSMax etc, Promise, If its work, I will help you :)

I've fixed the problem of Taxi texture (by placing the texture "displaced" before make group)

Linway Centerline etc is done (don't talk about the texture quality please xD, this is my first texture, as the Taxi line is made by "SASS Creation" (he give it as OpenSource, Thanks to him), the last think to add (I think its the last) the Rwy number: 09/27
