• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello,
is it possible to add an ATIS Frequency which is not included in ADE?

Olbia has 113.9 for ATIS

Thanks

Add your new Comm. If you are saying that the frequency is wrong then you can edit it provided it does not clash with another freqency at the airport

ADE provides a list of frequencies which are accepted by the sim. As far as I know this has list has not been changed. Someone will put me right but I recall that radios would not accept frequencies outside the range provided. If you want to try and change it then you would need to download the ProKey which can add functions to ADE including a direct edit tool called the Raw Data View.

With this you can change the frequency to any value but you will need to see if the sim will accept it or whether you can actually tune to it. If the frequencies provided by ADE as valid are out of date then we can look at updating them

ADE won't even compile with 113.9. It seems not to be possible to add ATIS.

It is possible but not with that frequency. I assume the compiler error is frequency out of range?

From my time back as an Real World Pilot, the Frequencies 108.0 MHz to117.95 MHz are reserved vor Navaids and from 118.00 Mhz to 137.00 Mhz are reserved for Voice- and other Communication-Methods.
Perhaps Olbia tramsmits the ATIS over a VOR which might be not allowed within FS.

Olbia Costa Smeralda VOR-DME 113.9 MHz, many VOR-DME's transmit the ATIS on their frequency, see my modified link-list above!

As an aside, since it comes up now and then, there is a difference in COM frequency ranges between FSX and P3d4. Aircraft in P3d4 can support military COM frequencies:

But that's assuming that the aircraft's COM radio gauge will support those frequencies also.
