• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 ADE 176.6715 not working after P3Dv4 is running first...

Hi all,

sorry for asking, but does anybody else got this issue too? My system is WIN 10.
When I run my sim and start ADE176 afterwards, I come into my ADE desktop but can't do anything else while the "waiting" icon is rotating....The sim is NOT connected automatically.
When I start ADE by itself, it is running perfectly.

Thank you for prompt reply, Jon. I am deeply ashamed to admit that I noticed that by a fresh installation of 176 it seems to be a an auto connection to the flightsim by default, right? I didn't notice that and that way, I assumed I wasn't connected to the sim because I didn't watch out for the ticked option to the upper right....
So today I unticked the default "auto connect" and I am able to work with 176 by running P3D simultaneously. Also when I connect ADE AFTER running P3D everything seems to be okay....
Only continuing issue is: When I am running 176 while connected to the sim, CLOSE the sim and start the sim again, the problem continuous....
Therefore, I would like to take the offer and send you my log nevertheless... Email sent and thanks for help.

No problem. I can't remember half of what ADE does! I am pleased you have it working. In theory it should not try to autoconnect if the sim isn't running and will then connect when it is. But whatever way works best for you is fine of course
