• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 ADE 2020 Alpha 21 HF5

You may need to go to the properties of the EXE file (left-click), and unblock the EXE Also, never put anything into C:\Program(86). I have a folder named C:\Programs, and everything I use goes there.

Wilco, thanks. I can open Properties of the installer. I have full permissions and am the Administrator. How do I unblock the EXE? I can't see anywhere wher to do that. I Googled how to do that and what it says to do I don't have. That is an UNBLOCK box to check or a BLOCK box to uncheck. HELP!

I fixed it it seems. When I was trying to open up the ADE2020 exe in the Program Folder that I was able to create previously, I got an error that said that I didn't have a file in the Plugins. Just as a fix, I copied the Plugins from the ADE V1.78 and replaced the one in ADE 2020 (wisely saving that on the desktop just in case. Well that fix worked and I was able to use the Wizard and fill in the locations for the Options folders. Now we shall see what we shall see when I have a chance to explore it. Thank you for your help. I'm good at least I think so.

I use Windows11, but 10 might have the same blocking problem. Delete all the ADE stuff, then see if this woks on the ZIP file:
Untitled.png

Now unzip it right on the desktop. It should make a folder (ADE2020_Alpha_21), and inside that folder you'll have the Airport Design Editor 20.exe and all the needed files and folders.
You can then move or copy that folder to another area of the computer. I would put mine in C:/Programs
