ADE Current Production Version Installer (1.76)

I have just updated the production installer download on my website to deliver version 1.76. This is in preparation for future updates. It is basically 1.75 with the 1.76 on-line update. However it does now include the model footprint database. This means users don't need to download this separately. The link for the separate download is still there but will be removed in the next few weeks. I know some folks still use older versions of ADE and that is fine (although they aren't supported). However unless you have a specific reason for using an old version then I encourage you to update to 1.76. This has been in production use for 18 months and, although there are some bugs reported with it, it is stable.

There will be an update to ADE I hope by the end of October. 1.77 beta appears to be reasonably stable based on user reports so this will be the basis of the update with some other changes.

The direct link to 1.76 is http://www.mediafire.com/file/8pe95vlmg5nvu4x/ade_176_production_full_installer.zip/file If you do install it and you are using version 1.75 then please read the installation instructions fully. I Know RTFM - who bothers - please bother! :)

No - all that I have done is to make 1.76.6715 the version in the full production installer. You do not need to do anything if you are already using that version

Hello again Jon,

I apologize for having posted my request for help earlier in what is probably the wrong thread. Be that as it may, I received my Prokey License details this morning (thank you) but am not able to run ADE 176 using it. I have attached a .png file (you'll have to enlarge it to read the whole error message) that describes the failure: Basically it states:

"Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\MSFS\FS Design Tools\Airport Design Editor 175\Plugins\Prokey.dll or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT:0x80131515).

As soon as I say okay it shuts ADE down.

This happened with the Infralution.Licensing.dll as well. I have tried running as Administrator with no luck. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
William Bruce Ellis

Thanks Jon,

Unfortunately, after following the process outlined in your previous message, I continue to get an error message and subsequent shutdown of ADE. The error message is different, however: "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation". All a big mystery to me I am sad to say.
