ADE in FSX standard edition

#1
Hello all,
I don´t have the fsx professional edition so I want to know if it´s possible to use the Airport editor with the standard edition.

No I am sorry but it is not. ADE uses the compiler from the SDK that comes with the deluxe edition and it cannot be distributed any other way

However, if you are prepared to buy payware then Flight One's AFX does not need the SDK

That is correct. I would say that the advantage of buying the deluxe edition is that it gives you some upgrades to the sim itself plus the SDK covers areas beyond just airport design. And a final thought is that there are two freeware airport design tools that use the SDK. Airport Design Editor and FSX Planner so you have a choice of tool :)

If you have to spend the money, I would spend it on the Deluxe edition before on Flight One's AFX.

The FSX Deluxe edition gives you access to many tools other than airport creation. It also has the traffic toolbox, etc.
