• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello !

Context: the assembler had to clone the internal hard drive on which ADE was. The original drive had the letter E. The cloned drive has the letter D.

ADE2020_Alpha_21-HF 5 tells me "unable to find part of the path: E:\MSFS SDK\Tools\bin\bglcomp.xsd".

While the path is correctly entered: D:\MSFS SDK\Tools\bin

I am unable to go through the path to bglcomp.xsd.

In the current context I cannot use ADE.

I searched for all occurrences in the registry concerning ADE. I removed them before reinstalling ADE. Waste of time !

Regards,
Marc

Hello !

I have partially solved my problem. Cloning the disk where MSFS 2020 and MSFS_SDK are located worked for FS2020 without problem, but not for MSFS_SDK.

Explanation: MSFS 2020 is clearly visible in Installed Applications - but not the various applications that form the MSFS 2020 SDK !

But in the Registry the SDK was installed, and recognized as such by MSFS 2020 and ADE_2020_Alpha_21-HF5!

I deleted ADE_2020_Alpha_21-HF5, deleted the SDK installation (MSFS 2020 reported it was missing), cleaned the registry, and reinstalled the MSFS 2020 SDK.

ADE_2020_Alpha_21-HF5 when installed correctly detected the SDK on D:\MSFS SDK.

Even by correcting the Content in D:\MSFS 2020\Official\OneStore\fs-base-genericairports it cannot find the Stock.

If this can be useful to the Community
