• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Airbus Hamburg EDHI (RELEASED)

Maybe some people already know that I am currently working on Airbus Finkenwerder (EDHI).

It will surely take a few more months until I can deliver a beta version to my testers.
Even though only half of the buildings to be built are ready (and of course all the little things that make an airport come alive are missing), I would like to show the users registered on SimDocks a few first pictures today.

This scenery is basically an extension of the SimDocks "Port of Hamburg" freeware, since the Airbus plant is directly adjacent to the port. However, there are two reasons why I will not integrate EDHI into the port scenery:

1. it is an airport and therefore has nothing to do with shipping traffic and

2. this scenery will have a special status in that it will be my thank-you to all those who supported my work with a donation. Therefore this scenery will be exclusively downloadable only by these supporters.

Here are some screenshots:

Even though production of the A380 has already ceased in reality - it lives on in the Airbus plant at MSFS.

Unfortunately it is a lot of work to build all the smaller and bigger parts and to place them in the scenery. However, I think it's worth continuing to test the patience of my supporters regarding the release date.
However, I can promise you that the release will take place this year

After the A380s were built, the right paint job was still missing, of course. This was applied to the hull of the giant birds in the A380 paint shops.

In this picture you can see the movable work platforms suspended from the ceiling on which the painters prepare the surfaces for paint application.

After the paint has been checked and found to be in good condition, the aircraft leave the paint shop for test flights.

There will be more to see shortly! ;)
