• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

AN-24 for MSFS 2020/2024

Dear developments,
i'm Kirill, and I'm working on an An-24 for MSFS 2020/2024. I've got a 3D model that kind of flies, but that's about it. The cockpit instruments are just textures – nothing moves, no numbers, no systems, no sounds.

What I do have that might interest you:
  • Full technical docs and flight manual
  • Access to a real An-24 for photos, reference, and sound recording
So we can make this thing really accurate – not just guessing from drawings.
What I need help with:
  • XML behaviors (animations, switches, etc.)
  • Working gauges (HTML/JS or even old XML – anything that works)
  • Flight model tweaks
  • Systems (engines, electrics, hydraulics)
  • Sounds (I can record the real thing)
Honestly, I don't even know half of what's broken in the files I have. If you know MSFS SDK, XML, or any of the above, I'd really appreciate any help – even a few hours a week.
I have plane that can fly in MSFS 2020, but just fly and all.

I'll share all the files, docs, and give credit. If it goes commercial, we can talk about splitting things fairly.

Hi Kirill, yes, I can definitely help with this. I have experience with MSFS development, including XML behaviors, gauges, animations, systems, flight model work, and aircraft integration. The access to a real An-24, technical documentation, and recordings is a great advantage for building it accurately.
