• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Approach / Runway Lights during Daytime

I believe this is an old theme but do my knowledge without fix.
We saw some requests since FS98, but never a change.

LSZH Daytime Runway Lights.jpg

I.e. in LSZH approach and runway lights are on all day long, until the aiport or a runway is closed.
In the sim having the lights on would increase visibility making approaches much easier.
Even P3D v4 same only night or visibility below 5 nm.

Unfortunately I was not successfull in creating my owns, even with some tools.

Nobody out there having a hack or SCASM code to bring the lights on ?
Somebody want to do some paid scenery design ?

Airfield Lights Toolbox (AFLT) from http://stuff4fs.com allows pilot-controlled lighting. (I don't believe what you are seeking is possible - at least on a selective, per/airport basis - with stock lights.)

However, AFLT uses custom lights. Using it means you'd have to develop custom lighting for the airport, but those lights will stay on - under pilot control.

Please note that AFLT does not currently work for P3D. However, as of yesterday, I've found the "recipe" and will soon be releasing an update to provide custom lights using simobjects. It's a bit heavy on FPS (~40% hit) - which may make it impractical for PV3 - but PV4 seems to be able to handle it.

Stay tuned.
