MiG-15Bis and UTI update to meet MSFS2024 SU4 and MSFS2020 1.39.9

Since MSFS2024 SU4 released, and MSFS2020 update to 1.39.9, I have test my MiG-15Bis (single seat fighter) and MiG-15Uti( 2 seat trainer) products,
Find out some issues on compatibility.

Today I update both 2 aircrafts update to V1.5.3 package for solve them and improve functions for system simulation.
These packages working on both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024. Packages will send to Just Flight, Sim Market and other publishers in this week

V1.5.3 Update Features:
1, All feathers from V1.5.2

2, To deal with new compatible problem from MSFS2024 SU4, MiG-15Bis/Uti change model behavior and functional simulating in core computing logic. these changes also working as same way on MSFS2020.
a, Re-coding pushback tug conditional control logic, to get it full functional working with steering control, connect and disconnect controls.
b, Re-coding pilot figures conditional control logic, for hide pilot shapes when in MSFS2024 Avatar mode, pilot out of aircraft cockpit.
c, Re-shaping and re-coding gunsight mapping for simulating collimation projecting view in 4 default eyepoint positions.
d, Re-coding DGMK heading gyro indicator and re-calibration button function.
e, Re-coding GPU vehicle conditional control logic, to avoid GPU vehicle not connect when meet all conditions in MSFS2024 SU4.
f, Re-coding Fuel Truck vehicle conditional control logic, rise the fuel remains to 50% for conditional control.

These are screenshots for MSFS24 SU4

It's great that the plane is constantly updated.
I'd like to buy this plane, but a friend of mine once had problems with it because there was strange flickering on some surfaces in the cockpit (I'm no longer in touch with him, so I don't know if he fixed it). But back then, it only happened with this plane. He also adjusted the Invidia driver and other smoothing settings, and even after removing the textures, the model still flickered (and it only happened with this model). I made a gif from a video he sent me a while ago. This is what it looked like:

1.gif

2.gif

I once had a similar effect while creating something in 3D, where two surfaces were superimposed, but that's probably a different issue.

I'd like to ask if this was a known issue or just a one-off issue for him, and if the flickering will disappear on my weak computer

Intel Core i7-4770
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

after purchasing this plane in the latest version for MSFS 2020.

Best regards,

Best regards,
Thanks for your friend and you report this strange issue

I have test laterest v1.5.3 packag on i7 6700k+p106-100 ,in msfs2020 1.39.9 the gauges may flicking when daylight, some view angle shadow casting by sun light

When aircraft cabin light turn on or dawn dust and night, gauges not flicking

My driver is 566.16. I guese the problem on gauge texture setting in model, but Still can not locate the real reason which cause them make such strange display now。I will make study on it, if this problem solved, in next update it will be included now texture and model

Manual for UTI? (1.4 or higher)

Hi, the Mig-15 is a bit of an underrated plane in MSFS and it's a shame because it's amazing! I bought the mig-15 UTI in the Marketplace for XBOX but I couldn't find a manual for the UTI version to download anywhere. Could you please send me the current version of the manual or publish it? (1.4 or maybe higher?) Thank you very much in advance and I remain a fan of this plane :-)

I emailed Wolfgen over a month ago with a similar request. Never got a response.

Sorry for delay, I just recover from hospital for illness.
About the manual, every package of MiG-15bis and UTI, you may find the manual pdf located in documents folder in aircraft`s naming folder.
xbox may have no way to copy it out or reading? I have no xbox console, so I can not test it.

So I will find a online pdf public storage for the MiG-15bis and UTI manual download standalone. If it ready I will post url here.

Thanks

MiG-15Bis and MiG-15UTI will update to V1.55
For Mr. Bryner send the issues report email to me kindly in last month, I test and fixed them , put the bug-fix and changes in V1.55 update, which coming online in this week

MiG-15Bis and MiG-15UTI update V1.55

Changes:
1, The turbine-jet engine surge effect:
Fix the surge effect (very huge unstable working condition on compressor rpm) near 850km/h at low altitude,
it now slightly drop from near N2 percent 101% to 97% when full throttle near 950km/h at low altitude.

2, Refine engine.cfg for correct wrong fuel flow and fuel efficiency to meet range/endurance when aircraft cruise flight.

3, Correct control code reverse problem on ailerons.

4, Remove ailerons control disable effect when hydro-boost cutoff.
It now be degrade when hydro-boost pressure lower or lost, but the ailerons still can be operating manually with slow and hard difficultly at high speed.

5, Refine flightmodel.cfg for adding icing and flaps extra defines.

6, Rebuild model texture defines to standard as SDK for deal with shadow blink problem on some display card
I test on RTX 2060s/3060Ti/5060 8G, with latest NVidia drivers, MSFS20/24 have high-end setting, it seems no blinks on console and panel surface in new models.
If it still has problems on some hardware, I will find out how to fix it in future updates.

The V1.55 update package will online at SimMarket and JustfFight in this week, for MS marketplace, it will later than others as usual after their works.

ok, the manuals I have upload to a pdf online sharing site

THNX for constant update. My only gripe is the main wheel breaking. I really don't like permanent connection between rudders and brakes. Is it possible to disconnect them somehow? Right now on msfs 20 Xbox the braking system is still active under rudder input even over 100kph during takeoff (not good :/) . Wouldn't it be possible to just keybind brake handle, to simulate real system. BEST WOULD BE: brakehandle + L/R rudder = L/R brake // brakehandle + no rudder = L+R brakes // NO brakehandle = no brakes.

I will study a logic for it in next update

MiG-15Bis and UTI Update V1.5.6

Since MSFS2024 had SU5 released, I test MiG-15Bis and Uti mods on it and find out issues.

1, Aircraft steering on ground moving without nose wheel steering system (NWS)
MiG-15Bis/Uti differential brakes on main wheel, the only steering method when aircraft taxi on ground is braking one side, wait to turn by roll forward speed before the aircraft brake stop totally.
For more hard turn to the same direction, rudder to same side when wheel brake pressed.
So, this characteristic cause issues on MSFS world:

a, aircraft cannot steer at very low speed, as a ramp parking position opposite to taxi way/ runway, very narrow to get aircraft turn when moving forward.
b, Runway gate connects to taxi way has hard direction changes

2, Aircraft has no parking brake function, to avoid aircraft moving forward when engine starting on ground, I set wheel blocks, controlled by default parking brake, it need more thrust for moving when the blocks removed.
So, on low altitude airport, taxi out need at least 55% throttle, maintain rolling not exceed 30knots, need throttle not over 70%. when at high altitude airport or ground surface not level, it needs more throttle for staring rolling.

3, Ground starting switch with safety cover bypass default auto starting sequence by press keymap or button defined on controller. these issues on console platform Xbox or PS5 especially.

For SU5 patched, these issues still affect or take more problem when handling aircraft.

So, I have update V1.5.6 to fix these issues. As usual, these update package will send to sim market, just flight, ini-build (MiG-15Bis only), in this week, they will get online to replace current V1.5.5 just receive it.
As MS marketplace, it takes more weeks after they handle the update packages.

V1.5.6 features:
1, Taxi out and rolling on ground
I reprogram the logic on wheel brake system and set more gain on nose wheel tilling by differential brake plus rudder deflection:
a, for narrow ramp or gate, using pushback cart move aircraft to area has turn radius enough when aircraft rolling forward below 5 knots.
b, for steering aircraft, press and release key or button define to wheel brake one side for normal, plus rudder for hard turn, these operate need forward speed. if need hard steer when aircraft nearly stopped, press and hold that brake key or button.
c, when rolling, just using differential brake shortly to maintain direction, rudder have no steering without brake pressed. ground rolling on taxi does not exceed 30 knots (55Km/h), when brake stop aircraft totally both on straight rolling and steering, it needs throttle up again to get aircraft moving.

2, In cockpit or exterior view, start engine or cut off engine can use default key, or button defines by MSFS default.
3, If canopy cannot open/close after SU5 patched, set a key or button in control map setting page, follow the MiG15Bis_Uti_Control_Spec.pdf in the aircraft package document folder.

V1.5.6 Update Features:
1,All feathers from V1.5.5

2,Refine Pneumatic Differential Brakes:
Change different brake scale for slow (below 5 knots) or high(above 15 knots) ground rolling speed
Low mode allow aircraft brake one side wheel totally, throttle up to change steering.
High mode allow aircraft brake to change heading slightly.

3,Refine Passive Nose Wheel Steering:
Set rudder control for gain different steering scale with differential brakes.
differential wheel brake pressed to active rudder control steering, or cut off for maintain current heading.

Set brakes for working condition on nose wheel steering control in 3 modes.
Normal Mode: differential brakes slightly for small steering when rolling.
Coupled Mode: with rudder for hard steering when rolling forward.
Stop Mode: stop aircraft with differential brake hold, throttle up for steering at very low speed.

4,Ground Handle Speed Limited:
Set rolling forward speed not exceed 30 knots for normal taxi.
Set steering speed not exceed 5 knots for using brake and rudder control steer on different gain scale.

5,Ground Service and Virtual Pushback System.
Refine condition logic for control pushback, fuel truck calling and leave.
Add virtual pushback function on aircraft, for positions no stock ground service, but need move aircraft reverse

6,Addtional PDF for improved ground handle and key/button setting reference:
With MSFS2024 SU5, features on MiG-15Bis/Uti V1.5.6 need set control key/button for full functional, so I create a standalone PDF shipped include aircraft package, and upload to online preview
