BGL File Does Not Show Scenery Objects After ADE File is Complied

Hello,

I opened my .ade file to adjust a beacon. After doing so, I compiled the file to get a new bgl file. However, in the newly compiled bgl file which overwrote the old bgl file, all of of the scenery objects I had placed with Instant Scenery that had been present in the previous bgl file are now missing. However, I can still see them in the ade2 file.

Something apparently is not working when I compiled the new bgl file.
Can you tell me what I did wrong, and how to correct it?

Jim

In Settings > Options do you have Separate Airport and Object Bgl files checked?

If so then ADE compiles two Bgl files and the objects will be in one with _OBJ in the name. This second one must be in the same location as the one containing the airport.

Jon,
Thank you for responding so quickly.

I did not have that box checked. However, I did so, and then recompiled. While I now have two files in the same folder, the objects still are not showing up.

OK. You say you placed the objects with IS. How did you get them into ADE?

Also you say you can see them in ADE. Can you confirm that these objects are yellow rectangles and not black? If they are black then ADE won't compile them. If that is the case the solution is to import the information about the objects into the Library Object Manager: Tools > Library Object Manager.

Are there any stock objects for this airport? If so do they show up?

I would place the object using IS. I would then save the object to the ksbd.bgl file. if there is a better way, please let me know.

Unfortunately for me, they are all black.

I will re-read the manual and seeif I can figure out how to do that.

Yes sir, I do have stock objects showing up.

OK then the solution to getting them to show up is to load the object libraries that contain these objects into the Library Object Manager. I don't use IS so perhaps someone else will be able to offer guidance on that.

When you've positioned the objects using IS why don't you just save them to their own bgl. I use, in your case KSBD_IS.bgl
