• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Brazilian Sceneries Pack

Hi,

I decided to bring my project here as it is growing. This is an old idea of mine, which consist of creating sets of small sceneries for Brazil. For this, I'm developing a library of objects and distributing these objects over the airports.

This is the first of the packs, which I plan to release in the next few months, it will consist (at first) of 7 small airports located in the state of Espírito Santo.

I'm planning to make it available for FSX, FSX:SE, P3Dv3 and P3Dv4. For this, I have people helping me to make the tests ensuring everything is ok.

Below are some images of the current looking of the sceneries and these packs will be released as a freeware content, including the library mentioned above.

*Some textures and objects may need correction as it is a work in progress

Nicely done Felipe. I like the rusty oil-barrel textures and the grass.

Questions:
- Which tools did you use to create this scenery?
- Is that 2D grass and vegetation or is it 3D (having a volume)?

TIP: Add an English language / navigation to your website:
This will help to attract more non Brasilian? Spanish? Portugese? people to your website
and make it possible for them too, to find and take a look at your upcoming scenery projects.

Thank you Ronald!

I am using Blender, ADE and Photoshop for the most part. The grass and vegetation are 3D (double-sided planes, some having loop-cuts and other basic manipulations) but they aren't displayed in the two first images.

I will add an English language to my website as soon as possible. The scenery will also come with English documentation and installer.

Hi all,

I am close to releasing this scenery, but I have changed my plans. Initially, this would be seven airports, very simple, but I have decided to release two airports more detailed and in the future, I will release others. This is because I have others plans going on. Better ones.

Below are the images of SNCX and SNBG. I hope to release very soon.

I have also followed Ronald's advice and translated my website into the English language. It can be accessed here: https://ssdsceneries.wixsite.com/scenery/home
I will post more information on the website as well.

Thank you Dani and Ronald!

The grass on SNBG is taking over the runway on real life too, so I tried to represent in the best way I could. But that runway really needs a reform :D

Nice work, Felipe, and thanks for sharing. :)

I especially like the last screenshot in the series above, as it is quite realistic in showing the sand that gets tracked from the non-paved taxiway onto the paved RWY.

PS: A 'Google-translated' version of the web paged linked in your forum signature:

Thank you very much, Gary!

I have forgotten to include the correct link in my signature. Done!

Just a quick update, I have finished the installer today and sent for tests. Will start writing the documentation tomorrow. I think that it is the last step.

Below is the textures for autumn and the AI traffic.

Hi Felipe.

Are you really sure that this is freeware, or am I mistaken? This looks very good and has a good groundpoly technique. All my respect for your well done job :)

Very nice.

We will all need solid state drives (SSDs) to run this scenery, right? :D:D

Hi Christian. Yes, absolutely sure! Thank you for your kind words.

Very nice.

The name of my company doesn't give the respect the hard drives deserve. But well, I think you can use HDs as well :p
