• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 Can't Export To The SIm

I am creating the KMDG Morgantown Airport for Prepar3D V4.5. I have successfully created it BUT the terrain/apron is 10 feet higher than the parking entrance side of the terminal. I tried everything I knew how to do in Sketchup with a stupid looking apron up in the air 10 feet in ADEx after compiling a bgl in Model Converter X from the Collada file. A friend told me about Terrain Sculptor and I was absolutely exstatic that maybe FINALLY I could sculpt the 10 foot high hill and the apron on top even with the second floor of the terminal. I created airport polys to make a rectangle around the apron and the airport polys are 10 feet elevation. I saved the file and then wanted to export it into P3D V4.5 but I have been using this for exactly 2 hours and I DID read the pdf which is way over my head so I am probably not doing it correctly. That is why I am asking for help here as I usually end up doing no matter what I try and do.

3/4 of the steps seem to work and then this is what I get. I am attaching the .tsd file for someone who knows what to do with this program to help me out. I know Don is very ill and am praying for him as i said in another post. I don't expect him to help but hoping that another expert with this program can.

Error: File C:\Program Files (x86)\TS_Pro2174\shapes\CVXshapes.bgl not found

I have a CVX that a friend who created the photoreal background for me provided and I extracted with the .exe and saved the four files into the shapes folder. None of them is CVXshapes.bgl

https://www.mediafire.com/file/f7tnkttifsx7ohe/Project_KMGD.tsd/file

I reloaded and installed a brand new version of the program. The CVX shapes.bgl is in the shapes folder but I still get this stupid error when I try to export it and replace the QMID 11. I hope you can help. I do NOT want to use a terminal that is not accurate because I can't make a hill for the apron to raise it to the proper level but I will have to if i can't sculpt the terrain.
