• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Compiler Error on P3Dv5 Stock Airport

ADE 179 with P3Dv5 HF2 (Client and SDK updated to HF2).

Load SBEG, do nothing to modify the stock airport and attempt to compile. Compile fails with attached message. Error appears to be related to a stock instrument approach procedure, I never use the stock ones so I'm not familiar.

Dan Downs KCRP

Update: I switched ADE to Approach mode, opened list of approaches and deleted each waypoint in the list. The airport compiles normally now.

I have just checked this with v5 and the matching SDK - I get no compiler errors. I am sorry but this suggests that you are using an older SDK. Can you please check and let me know the location and name of the SDK you are using?

This is mine - it may have a slightly different number to yours since I am using the last beta provided before HF2.

Z:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 SDK

I recognize this change and it is indeed to fix type. The v5 SDK adds some new types which are related to SIDs and STARs. 14 is the code for the type HEADING_TO_ALT

These are the fix types specified in the v5 SDK

My SDK is also, installed from LM Download pages after release of HF2. I'm also P3D beta but being a PMDG beta taught me to always grab the RTM because PMDG often makes changes between a beta version and market even if version number doesn't change. I always install my SDK to the P3D root folder where I then register the components and I verified ADE179 was point to the correct compiler folders, which in my case is c:\p3d\p3dv5\sdk.

I verified the version using the windows apps & features screen.

That's odd. I can't replicate at the moment. The same problem should arise at most larger airports since they all have SIDs and STARS
