Creating a Global AI Shipping Package for FSX

Splendid!
I went to British Columbia last week and when I saw all the boats of BCFerries a lot of projects runs in my head...
...but there already is a BCFerries scenery.

Hi JP
...that's the bug... once you start you can't stop... I thought I had finished with the ships but then I found a nice drawing of a small Danish container ship with foldable helicopter platform sailing to artic destinations...
I have included a couple of your ships in the route pack - I will post some screenshots and more details this weekend.
Henrik

Almost ready for next part. The Asian and the Mediterranean AI traffic routes now just need the final testing.

The AI traffic route map for Japan with focus on Tokyo and Osaka, but also with regular traffic among most of the Japanese East and South West Coast.

FSX AI ship "Thuringia" with the fantastic Tokyo freeware scenery as a backdrop - scenery available here:

Hi kL791 I have contacted with the author of the Catamarán, and no problem, if you are still interested I would send you the model. I guess you want the source file for repaint. And maybe we have to talk about the yellow tanker above. ;).

Hi Bernardo,
Yes I am definately still interested in the catamaran so if you could send the mdl and a paintkit it would be great - the yellow tanker - I suppose you mean the Tilda Kosan?
PS I will test the new routes with your Algeciras scenery this weekend - I wanted to release this week but it will be another week before I am so far.

Great, happy to contribute though being a Little addition. yes, the Tilda Kosan, here we have a traffic with "almost" the very same ship. just Little diferences. even the color, though a Little of White in the hull. just one crane, etc. but are very similar. a great work you are doing with those boats by the way.
I'll see what I can do with the paintkit.

Hi Bernardo,
The Tilda Kosan will be passing your Ceuta-Algeciras scenery on a weekly schedule... And if you need her or a variant as a static or AI version just say so - you are free to use her in your sceneries. And if you feel inspired to expand the above scenery then the Tanger Med container terminal would be a great extension :-)
Below a few screenshots form the strait of Gibraltar with added FSX AI ship traffic and from the your Algeciras terminal with a new visitor.

And a screen shot from the Great Belt in Denmark with the freeware FSX Denmark scenery installed

Thanks, pretty cool, as you can see I wanted to apply more detail to the ports.
I made a Little searching and I have seen that you can make traffic for Japan and Denmark or course with those Catamarán. but I modified a Little the model to match to the one that usually is seen here. but may be I get involved a Little and try to remake this.
Well this is the subject (see pic.)
Lately I have been involved in the making of ships, not bad but I have a serious problem with the hulls. Greetings.
Yes, it will be great to add that ship for the scenery because this ship have a regular traffic here.

Hi Bernardo,
I can't really read the name on the hull - do you know it? Because then I could make a model of her quite easily - she is not too complicated and there would be a lot of reuse of elements from Tilda Kosan including the hull shape even if she looks slightly bigger and some parts would have to modified a bit. For the hull I usually start from the middle making one section and then I "extrude" my way towards the ends - this way it is easy to use the symmetries. And with decent photos or a good drawing it doesn't take that long.
And of course you

His name is "Mencey" maybe you would need a picture with more resolution, I can send one. would be great really. I try to make the ship with splines, but observing that these ones must be almost a perfect splines, or will be reflected any failure in the hull. but I will remake the hull without problems.
About Tanger Med you mean this (seepic.)
I remember this port drew my attention when working in ceuta scenery. hmm, not challenge me please.. At firts glimpse look like a chaos.
It's seem it is not the same that Tanger port, this one have a heavy traffic with Tarifa port. Greetings.

Your small harbour is really nice but it is difficult to fit my 300 - 400 metres container ships in there ;-) So far I have made some routes which actually ends with the ship moored in front of the Tanger Med terminal, but it would be nice to be able to put them in the harbour - an alternative for these big ships is the new terminal at your Algeciras scenery - I think you already have the land fill but the berth is missing.

I already found plenty of pictures of Mencey - it would be a nice ship to do.

If an update for Ceuta-Alegeciras were in progress would be great to add that port. or the adding of the port would be the update itself.
About Algeciras maybe you mean the outer terminal or platform, whatever is called, I take into accound that in that time the terminal would be problably be finished. the land is photoreal and problably outdated. and the scenery took too long :o.
I think there are two or three ships of this type in the same maritime company the other one is "Hesperides".

Thanks for the pictures - I will put her on the list - there are still some ships before her, but with the summer we have in Denmark there is hope ;-)

The project is progressing - summer evening on a Danish fjord with the schooner Martha which will be the last model for the new package. And further south a bulk carrier.
