• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

MSFS Custom livery freezing MSFS

Hello. Some time ago I did 3 custom liveries: 2 for the C172 and 1 for the C208. They all have been working fine. Lately I have found that 2 of them (1 for C172 and the C208) make the MSFS freeze just after the home page is loaded, and sometimes if I try to load them in the Hangar.
I checked all of them anf there is no difference in config or structure of both the C172s, so I don't know what to touch, as all the JSON files are ok as wwell as the aircraft.CFG.
I must keep the folder PANEL and the panel.cfg as I need the registrations not to show up and they look correct as they are the same as in other 3rd party custom liveries that do give any issues.
I painted in 2D using Photoshop.

I am kindly asking someone keen in painting to check my work and find out what's wrong and how to fix it, as I have finished all my resources and knowledge.
Here you can find the livery files:

C172 V5-GNS (working): https://mega.nz/file/VggBUJ5C#W1xOX8ezG_3qlb1SvQYaKz9l_VYNPFi-8lkJ60X5FBk
C172 WT (not working): https://mega.nz/file/Y8AmHAZT#G5dMB-ME_-EAN57HH2gRrjujiH8wIpXD55orRKqRcmg
C208 WT (not working): https://mega.nz/file/88QXkQLD#dbq6rjMinBUs2N3cS8b2utBloXJyUbndq1_Lrn6OwBU

Thank you in advance

No one out there?
That's very sad in a place that's designed to discuss and help each other to find solutions.
Incredible.

I'll move this to the main MSFS forum, and we'll see if you can get some help.

I think I found the problem.
In your aircraft.cfg file you had this:
atc_id = " " ; tail number

It needs to be this:
atc_id = "" ; tail number

I removed the space in all three liveries, regenerated the JSON files, placed in my Community, and they all work. Your working version did not work for me before I changed the atc_id.

Really that simple??
Tomorrow I will correct all of them. Today I noticed that the 208 has issues only if loaded in the hangar.
Thanks a lot. You made my day.

Well... IT WORKS !!! The fact is that I used to keep that single space " " not to have the registration shown on the fuselage, and it's been always working. That's why I did not even considered that. Good to know.
So no empty spaces in the CFG files.
Thank you again. You made my day!!!
🥳👏
