• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Good day, guys! I would like your help. I am in big trouble. When I select DeleteAllStarts from the scenery editor and build the scenery they aren't gone, default stands and gates are on the airport together with those from the scenery. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Yes! I suggest you do not place a copy of your scenery build, into the Community folder, because unless you have scenery duplicates, that is clearly what is happening. Please consider the Virtual File System, does everything you need, to see, or edit scenery in real time. Therefore, the only reason to place a scenery build into the Community folder, is to see it, while not in DevMode. This means, when you do build the scenery into the VFS, there are now two of everything, the "solid" non editable version in the Community folder and the one in the VFS, from which you can delete stands.

The good news is that you can just ignore all this crap, if you make the changes, save and build, quit the sim, delete the previous version of the scenery from the Community folder and then add your new version from the Project Packages folder, the changes will have been made. However, it is less confusing, to simply delete the Community folder copy of the scenery, before beginning an edit, imo.

Sorry, but I cant understand your advise quite well, you mean to click on the option, save, build the project an then to get it for Packages folder, and paste it into the community, if is that it doesn't work

No. I mean, "do not use the Community folder, _at all_." It is not the place for developing, ok? Do not move anything into the Community folder, until the scenery is complete. If you follow this hard and fast rule, there will be no duplicates. There are exceptions to this rule, but expressing those exceptions, causes confusion, so the choice must remain binary, in order to solve this issue.

Yeah, but in my case, the scenery is ready, just that

It is not clear, if you are confirming that there is no copy of your scenery in the Community folder. Regardless, we are required to have runway starts, the airport will not compile and will crash the sim, without them. If you have ancillary starts, or parking to adjust, you must do it such that the runway starts are also present, or the build will fail.
