• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

what do you use for modelling? are you going to program the systems yourself?
I use Blender for my modelling - and yeah I'm programming the systems myself, but some of the more complex systems will likely be based on the WT framework, such as autopilot. No point re-inventing the wheel

impressive work! i've been doing mine with 3ds. no programming though as im building scenery (its a static prop). i DID model an ultra high poly md-80 that i'm looking to get ingame some day.. no idea how to program it though.. scenery is bad enough to make with these horrible msfs tools, im shuddering to think what programming must be like..

Cockpit seats and parking brake are now modelled - next up is the emergency hand pump

Haven't posted an update in a while - but alot of work has been done since then. The cockpit trim is now fully modelled, as is the cockpit doors and bulkhead (including the cockpit fire extinguisher). All that remains for the interior now is a bit of texturing, placard placement and cabin modelling - totalling less than 500k tris so far!

Coming along really nice

It's not much of an update - but air stairs are now complete and modelled, getting pretty close to finishing the final parts of the model!

Done quite a bit more detailing of the exteriors - you can now see the cables, static wicks, placard stickers and emergency exit handle covers. Most importantly though, the rear baggage compartment has now been modelled!

If you go on to create liveries for it, could you please create a Sevenair one?

At the moment I'm unsure of how I plan to do liveries - I definitely will do a sevenair livery at some point, but whether I'm going to do it for the -100 and later models, or only the -100 I'm yet to decide.

Aircraft's now been imported into the sim for it's first time! Textures need a bit of updating to account for the differences in lighting, but then it's just some animating, riveting and finally systems work. It's getting close now!
