• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Christian - your post dated 5 Jun 2021; if that GIS screenshot is as accurate as you think, then what you are seeing is the remains of the medieval field system.

If you mean the place marked in red in the screenshot, that is the area around the terrace of the airfield. These elevations are reproduced exactly in the simulator. Or do you mean the grooves and furrows on the airfield?

The ridges and furrows running NW to SE. There is a possibility that if you had enough GIS data for that area, you could zoom out and find the original village buried under the fields - unless, of course, it has been built over by Dortmund. I can see that the airfield area and the fields at the bottom of the picture have been intensively ploughed, so the old field system isn't quite so visible but it is still there if you look carefully.

Hello dear Developer community!

There is a new Freeware Bahrometrix scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. It took just over a year of development work to create the software package, which consists of three scenery merged together. The Dortmund package consists of Dortmund airport, Hengsen-Opherdicke airfield and the Dortmund city area with its well-known buildings and objects. A helipad was also thought of, it is located at Klinikzentrum Nord and it has been given the fictional ICAO code EDKZN. The landing site can be selected directly via the flight simulator's selection menu.

Download: MSFS - Bahrometrix Dortmund

The download is barrier-free, no registration is required to access the download.

Have a nice Day everyone :)
Christian

Impressive - only the odd AI airliners disturb the perfect scenery project a little. Reference not only for freeware sceneries.
