• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Editing Parking Spots in Default Airport

Hello Hive Mind,

I'd like to edit the dimensions of the parking spots at EGNX )East Midlands Airport) so that addons like AIG or FSLTL will send the right sized aircraft in to park up. I've downloaded and installed ADE V20.22.8157 Alpha with HF5.

I appear to be falling at the first hurdle, namely how to get ADE to read in EGNX so that I can have a go at editing the parking spots. I'm trying File - Create Project from MSFS BGL... this feels like the logical thing to do... but then which BGL should I be opening?

Are there any tutorials to help me along my way? Many Thanks!

Hello:

Assuming you installed ADE for MSFS 2020 Alpha 21 with HF-4 and HF-5, here is a tutorial I tested recently that works even if files are set "Read Only":

https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/t...rport-bgl-files-within-msfs-data-base.456687/

PS: Here is the Geohack web page URL for your airport:

https://geohack.toolforge.org/geoha...arams=52_50_N_001_20_W_region:GB_type:airport

The P3D LOD-5-sized FS "Base File" Area Folder Number for EGNX is: 0501

NOTE: Dean posted an even easier method here:

The easiest way below ;)

Open ADE

Click Tools > Lookup Airport

Type EGNX > click Find
