• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am using the AttachTool to put some effects in my Gmax's file as well as it's in the Gmax's SDK tutorial.
The file is exporting without error and bglcomp is compiling the file also.
In fs the object with the atach effect is not appearing as expected, but the effect not appear :( :( :( :(
Someone has a ideia of that it can be wrong? :banghead:
Thanks!

Is the attached effect in the bounding box of the object.... (not just floating in space away from the object)?

I Got it!
I was a "lost" Excluder in my xml file!
Now I have a other trouble.
I use a land light effect (fx_landing.fx) in a light pole.
The effect in the lamp it's ok but the ground it's not illuminating.
What's can be wrong now? :banghead:

He hee... we have all fallen fowl of the exclude in the XML.

"fx_landing.fx"... I have not seen this effect, can you post a screenshot?

Anyway, you need to either texture the ground, or place another effect on the ground. (There are some spot ones by default in FS).

All lay a round light on the ground. However, IMHO, you are better off drawing textures below your light.

Hi Nick!
I use the effect fx_orangedot.fx and you are right, the effect is realy a round light :-(
Do you belive that can be possible make this like a landing light?

Anything is possible :-)

You just need to write the effect. (modify that one). The unfortunate thing is... I have not got a clue how. :)

I would start with that effect and the bitmap it uses, then create my own.
