• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Pretty much since day 1 of the new flight sim I was busy working on my local airport. It is present in the sim, but it's very basic with just a handful of default buildings. I started with no knowledge about making addons for the sim, all I had was a few years of experiance in 3d modeling (I used to make renders of interiors for fun). Therefore there was plenty to learn but with big help coming from people on this forum I found my way up the ladder and was able to release my first ever addon :)

The airport consists of handcrafted buildings but plenty of default assets were used as well to enchance the airport and the surrounding areas. I also managed to replace default bing aerial with a much better quality image but sadly due to licensing I did not release that to the public, it stays for my personal use only :|

Custom created buidlings include:

- Main airport building with the iconic "AEROKLUB PODHALANSKI" lettering
- 2 cylindrical hangars
- 1 side hangar
- small summer homes
- a concert stage
- a shop located at the end of the runway
- a small shed
- a pedestrian bridge in the town of Tropie approx. 6km form the airfield
- a castle tower in the town of Czchow located approx. 10km to the north of the airfield
- red and white power lines on final to runway 04
- custom adboards along the main road

Version 1.0 is out now, but I'm already working on ver 1.1 which will include a big model of a water dam approx. 6km to the north of the airport.

I'll keep you posted in this thread about new releases and stuff :)
