• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Error message

When I try to set up the correct folders using the Build tab, I get the following error message when I click on the 'Choose Folder' button:

"Access violation at address 00615B04 in module 'FSX_KML.exe'.
Read of address 00000000."

Tried a new installation, same problem. Running program as Administrator, set compatibility for WinXP SP3.

Water-cooled Intel i7 920 running Win 7 Pro 64-bit; 6GB paired DDR3 RAM, nVidia GTX 285;.

Any ideas?

Alan :confused:

UPDATE: Please don't bother - I managed to edit the FSX_KML.ini file.

Where is FSX_KML.ini file

I too have the problem of being unable to update the default directories in the build tab, unfortunaltely I do not have an FSX_KML.ini file to manipulate.:confused:

Can someone please help me get this programme working?

I ma using WIN7 64bit on a Toshiba A665 i7.

Regards & thanks

Yes, if I remember well it's how can be activated Fsx.xml , via the .ini file.
The file is in C:/ windows

FSXFolder=D:\Flight Simulator X
TerrainSDKFolder=d:\Flight Simulator X\SDK\Environment Kit\Terrain SDK
BGLCompSDKFolder=d:\Flight Simulator X\SDK\Environment Kit\BGL Compiler SDK

This is how look the .ini file of fsxkml, I don't rembember what was the tweak., for this reason always is good people to describe how was fixed his problem, could help.
