• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

i don't know how I've caused this but I've removed FSXP and Java (including clearing the registry etc) and re-installed it but can't get past the error opening screen, I've read through the forums but can't find the answer!!

Cheers in anticipation!!

The error is coming from a section of code which is attempting to register a listener, but the variable that holds the listener hasn't yet been initialized. his is very strange because when the object gets created (which has to happen before it gets called to register the listener) the variable in question gets initialized. So at the moment I don't have a definitive answer as to why this is happening.

Well its still doing it and what you mentioned is unfortunately gobbledygook to me so I'll hang on unitl you can come up with the answer

Cheers

Sorted!:)

Searched again for zBlueSoftware and found a few more files and registry entries!!

Got rid of them again then installed inthe default place - it ran. so uninstalled int and re-installed it where I wanted it and everything works now!

Cheers for the concern chaps

That's great that it is working. We'll have to check to see if any registry values get written that might create this error. Now we know where to look, so thanks for pointing it out. :)

Java errors Start up FSX P

ahhhhh,

Im having exact same problem....can you please tell me exactly what you did to fix this error?

I am the same, I am not a code head.....I need step by step instructions....please. I am in the registry searching for bread crumbs of installation.....I removed fsx p, I reinstalled java.

Thank you very much for your help!

You have picked up on a four year old thread  FSX Planner is now very old and no longer supported by the developer. I am not sure how many folks still use it and may be able to help.

You might consider an alternative airport design tool instead. There are a couple that are still actively developed for FSX.

Old software

lol

I am new to this community....I am working to become an expert with the current tools.....would you please provide any suggestions for what is latest Airport Design Tools?

I think the two current tools for airport design and FSX are AFX and ADE. You say you have downloaded ADE so perhaps that will do what you need. ADE is free (except for some features that are paid for) AFX is available from Flight1 and is payware. AFX is very similar to AFCAD for FS9 so for folks used to AFCAD it is an easy transition.
