• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Exclusions not compiling

I've attached two screenshots. The first shows the airport with my created exclusions (yellow blocks). The second is the error message I'm getting when trying to compile the exclusion file.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks

the yellow blocks look like the are poygons, what are you trying to exclude,
this is not the problem with compiling, its the boundary fences.......
you need the SDK service pack SP1a which fixes the problem of the boundary fences not compiling

Bottom right of your screenshot is a red button. This is the Issue Manager. It is red because there is an issue with your project that will stop it compiling.

Click the Issue Manager button to get help on your problem

Thanks Jon & Glottis. After I wrote the e-mail, something in the back of my head said, "Self-you've been here before. What did Jon tell you last time?" After wracking my semi-comatose brain while falling asleep, it came to me.

It was the absence of the SDK SP1a. Installed it and all is well.

Jon-thanks for the tip on the red button. I will store that away in my 1MB brain.

That's good :)

Keep an eye on that button. If it goes red then chances are your project will not compile. I guess it knows about most compiler errors.
