FSX FS9 Aircraft in FSX: Taxing on idle power & light issues

Dear All,

I have an issue. I have managed to run FS2004 aircrafts in FSX by adjusting "Panel" and "Sound" files. The following are few minor bugs which I would like to fix as well interms of aircraft dynamics and light settings.

Condition (1): Even when the engine power is on idle setting, the modified FS2004 aircraft starts to taxi slowly in FSX. I need to always engage the parking brakes even when holding short of runways.
Question: please can any one let me know how can I make the aircraft not to taxi at idle power. where can I edit this property? May be I need to adjust the .air file / .cfg file, please could any one help me on the same.

Condition (2): Strobe, Nav, beacon lights of FS2004 aircraft not visible during daylight and from all view angles in FSX. Some times they do not work at all.
Question: please can any one let me know how can I fix this issue. where can I edit this properties? May be I need to adjust the .air file / .cfg file, please could any one help me on the same.

Thanking you all.

With kind regards,

Inno

Condition 1 is actually more realistic than you think. If you want to edit this, you can do so in the thrust tables. There are numerous threads in the forum describing how to do that.

Condition 2 I do not know the answer to.

Re: condition (2):
In the aircraft.cfg [Lights] section, check position of the various lights, their effect names and whether you have those effects in your FSX effects folder.

I had to "increase" the engine thrust to be able to do just that! I managed to get it just on the cusp so to speak. At the stand waiting for pushback the a/c stays still because of no inertia. Taxying is done at idle thrust with an ocassional increase in throttle if needed when the a/c is close to max auw.
Once stopped on a taxiway or at a holding point the brakes are always necessary unless as said the a/c is at about 90%+ auw. The result is extremely real!
