• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all,

I have to inform you that by accident I removed the FSDeveloper YouTube channel. While trying to cancel a Google Workspace subscription that we used for FSDeveloper years ago, it turned about that canceling that actually cancelled the entire account and also the YouTube channel.

I still have all the videos that were hosted there on my local system, so I will upload them again soon. These are the video tutorials I made for my tools and also the FSDevConf tutorials.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Arno, please don't forget about the users of other countries with little knowledge of English, and allow subtitles in the video. Some channels for some reason forbid them, so even machine translation is not available.

Nothing happens by accident Arno ;-) Perhaps this is the perfect moment to re-design your current Youtube account and strategy behind it ?

QUESTION: Are you going to use your rebuild Youtube to only share all your SceneryDesign.org related knowledge?

Hi Ronald,

I am not sure yet. The old FSDeveloper YouTube channel had two kinds of videos, those from the FSDevConf from 10 years ago or so and the tutorials I made about my tools. Maybe it makes most sense to give each of them their own place. So to have a dedicated SceneryDesign.org channel to put the tutorials for my tools.

I do have to search for the FSDevConf videos, I could not find them on my local machine. Hopefully we still have them somewhere.....

Given the many recent developments over the last decade, is there still any modern-day value inside these videos?

The way I see it: Your awesome - and excellent toolset(s) definitly have earned and thus need their own native Youtube channel Arno.

I think a big part of it is still valid. FSX and P3D are very common for many design things. MSFS is something completely different of course.

Sht happens. Yesterday I nuked a phone belonging to a senior manager at work, only for her to come back ten minutes later saying that her contacts weren't on her new phone. She'd saved them to memory, not the sim... Oops.

If so, (if you can find the backups) then you definitely should re-add them to your new Youtube channel as well under dedicated FSX and P3D playlists.

The last week was quite busy, but I have started to upload the video tutorials about my tools again to a new channel. I also notice that some of them are quite dated, maybe I should make a few new ones :)

The FSDevConf videos seem to be lost unfortunately, so I can't restore those.

Thanks for the re-upload Arno, those videos give me a nice "look-behind-the-flightsim-terrain"

One can never ever have enough new tutorials about your great toolset

Perhaps a "little :wizard: hint" from the MultiVerse to start thinking about holding a brand new FSDevConf at EHLE @ Aviodrome (during the FsWeekend) later this year / next year?
And of course: This event is going to be completely sponsored by the global add-on builders community, who have graciously benefited from your toolset for their own products over the last decade.
I've heard rumours that the AvioDrome has a great theater with a very big screen, so show a lot of news things....
