• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS fspackagetool no longer displays console when building package since SU6

I must admit i don't understand why you have to do a clean all and build all for the build to work. I personnally don't need to.

Here is a screen of the console log i have with the fspackagetool (since tomorrow morning):

Capture d’écran (163).png

Capture d’écran (164).png

Note that it builds under the Blender console, but on saturday, it launched the steamclientcmd, and the output was there.

Without rebuild or clean:

With the windows command:

The rmdir lines can be commented out of the batchfile...

Hi luco, you should at least try writing in english here to avoid non italian user to go back and forth from Google translate

Actually, recreating the a bgl compiler It Is not really needed, no Need to reinvent the wheel

The fspackagetool shipped with su7 works fine, Just Copy It in your project Folder and drag and drop the project xml over the executable, at the end of the process you get a new Packages Folder, (inside the project folder), inside the Packages folder you have the final folder ready to be shared/placed in community

Where does ConsoleDLL.dll go?
George - remove your current SDK installation (0.15?) and install the current SDK (0.16.0) which is available with SU7. This fixes the package tool problem and there is no no ConsoleDLL.dll - that was a temporary fix

They still don't have it right for Steam. You should be able to drag'n'drop your XML project file onto the fspackagetool icon and it should compile with a console open until closed.

I made a C# program to create a batchfile that should be able to run, compiling an XML project file. Just drag'n'drop the XML onto the 'CreateCompileBatch.exe' icon, and a batchfile will be generated in your project folder that holds the project XML. Double-click the generated batchfile and you will get a Clean ALL and a Build All equivalent. If you need to recompile, just double-click the batch file again. Keep the CreateCompileBatch.exe right on th desktop for convenience.

It finds the Steam folder from the registry install entry and the FlightSimulator file in the \\steamapps\\common\\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\\ sub-folder. It then writes all the needed files and folders to the batchfile. This is for the Steam version only. It completely bypasses the fspackagetool.

Edited:

Updated the tool slightly and included the C# VS code. Using the batchfiles produced, you can compile several projects simultaneously.
Can I kindly have the BGL compile SDK? Could you create the scenarios of Caorle, Bibione, Mossa, Casera Razza by compiling these files that I attach? Could you create the files to add why point update in fs2020 simulator?
