• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX SE and Instant Scenery 3

Like l have metioned before , l am new with FSX SE .
l am trying to do things l used to do years ago , building airports and things .
l purchased Instant Scenery 3 (previous versions that l have are not working) for placing objects .
Problem is that IS3 , is not working either .
l have a folder "Terminals" with subfolders Scenery and Texture . In Scenery folder there is the New Terminals.bgl file and the Texture folder has the appropriate textures.
l run FSX SE , and loaded my Terminals folder in the Scenery Library the usual way and it appears fine at the to of the Library Listing .
Closed FSX SE
Opened FSX SE , opened IS3 , New Terminals.bgl is not in the list .

What am l doing wrong ?
Hi Nick:

FSX Steam-related Instant Scenery support topics can be found here:

I would first be certain IS3 > Options is looking for all FS version Models ...and not just FS2004.

To check whether IS3 is installed correctly:

I would also check the DLL.XML file to verify that IS3 is enabled to load automatically during initial use.

This post discusses use of the IS3 ModuleInstaller and how to check the IS3 log file:

If all the above check out OK, you may wish to look at the 'Terminal.BGL' file in Arno's ModelConverterX (aka "MCX") to verify that it has 3D models that can be read by IS3:
