• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Patch to repair dammage from Syrian Coast project

Below is a patch for Global AI Ship Traffic to be used in case you have installed Syrian Coast available on Rikooo.com in January or February 2020. The Syrian Coast project included without permission a number of ships and effects from the Global AI Ship Traffic project and was consequently removed from download by Rikoooo on February 7th.
The damage occurred when the Syrian Coast project on installation replaced the sim.cfg's in the boat file folders and thereby removed a great number of ships from the Global AI ship traffic.

To repair the dammage please install the files in this patch overwriting the respective folders in your FSX or P3D installation.

The files included in this patch must under no circumstances be uploaded to any site or shared individually or as a whole without prior written permission from me.

And while I am at it... here is the SS Canberra in more sunny settings - I'm doing her in two versions - one civilian classic and a war time model with helipads and military equipment as during her participation in the Falklands War.

That brings back some memories! Cranberry was a bit of a rusty mess when she left Stanley after the FI conflict, but she was the most distinctive presence in Stanley Harbour.

I expect to finalize the Falklands version this weekend and I will try to get as close as possible with the rust and changes - she is luckily extremely well documented :)

I don’t think I can help much with that. There isn’t a lot of night photography of the ships at the time, and I don’t think I’ve got anything useful. I’ll have a look when I get back to uk at the end of the week.

It was before everybody started walking around with a smartphone with a multimegapixel camera capable of making pictures in little light as an extended part of the arm.... but if you find something it would be great.

It is still beyond me how you manage to make all those beautiful ships so quickly.
I said before… I cheat ;) this time the models selected were part of a couple of similar series of ships from the fifties - the P- and S-classes of the East Asiatic Company - small deviations exists between models like derrick arrangement, and have been recreated, but the hull e.g. is kept the same despite that there are deviations of 1-3% in the real life measures. But that you will never notice in the sim... Below the Ileoluji - a P-class liner repainted as when the ship spent her last years for a Nigerian owner.

While the ships still sailed under Danish flag, they were common visitors in the harbor of Aarhus, close to were I grew up. Arriving with exotic hard woods and leaving with machines...

Hey Henrik,

I must say one thing is for certain.... I installed your Global AI Ship Traffic for FSX and was blown away at the shear fact that I did not have to do anything beyond the install instructions to get it working, unlike WOAI for FSX. I love flying low and slow over the various U.S. harbors and admiring your work in action... Not a single issue... True Plug & Play!!

By any chance do you model any of the "Tall ships"? or paddle wheel vessels? I'd love to include them as AI traffic, as well into FSX
