• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi Henrik,
I love your wonderful boats and I love helicopter flying.
Please can you send me a list of all your ships with heli pads.

Hello, will this install into P3D 3.4?
And how is FSP and VAS especially VAS with them installed?
I see these a lot in screenshots and would love to install but was wondering about FPS & VAS.
Thanks.

Hi Paul,
Yes, it works in V3.4. Regards to performance impact is described as very low by users. Models are done for AI with just 2 drawcalls pr model for the majority of the models and you never experience concentrations of ships like you have with Ai planes at airports. Only small drawback can be a slightly increased loading time at start up depending on system. For more check the support thread at avsim.

great work, did you have any of carrier? WASP class (LHD) would be nice. I have no place to land on deck with my MV22B.

Thanks... As Ripcord is working on a US navy package I have not added more US ships. The next update will include navy ships from several countries including French/Brazilian/Chilean Foudre class LST

All Wasp class ships will be included as will LHA-6 USS America. And also LPD San Antonio class and others. Basically all of them.

EDIT: In fact many of them will be sailing right past you there in Singapore, on a regular basis : )

@Ripcord, your AI was payware, right?

If you do some testing for me, then your copy will be free.
Hi Ripcord,
We should also talk and coordinate our routes. The routes need to be spaced properly to display well. AI ships unfortunately don't behave realisticaly when they get too close.

Henrik

I am busy making them now. I plan to list them all in a manual, so I am in the process of creating a spreadsheet in excel.

It does get quite congested around Norfolk and San Diego, but honestly no display problems so far -- of course I don't have the full fleet in there yet either. Perhaps we can come with a designated window that I can use, for coming and going from major ports? Really we are only talking about San Diego, Pearl Harbor and Norfolk. I use number of other ports but not in enough numbers to really disrupt your commercial traffic I think.

Hi
Sorry for being slow in responding Ripcord, but loads of work in real life - just managed to move months of modelling into P3D today. Below some screenshots.

Regards to your question on routes I will send you a PM - Norfolk could need some coordination as all ships leaving Cheasapeake Bay have to go through a quite narrow opening.

A few more screenies from the testing:

The first one a contribution from Cxema, which I just had to texture

The second Saga Frontier is also a model done jointly with Cxema

And then a few creations done 100 % by me - quite a lot of energy has been spent on optimizing the models, so they actually perform better than previous less detailed models.

and the last one in real life near the Castle of Elsinore (famous from Shakespeares Hamlet) from a recent excursion with my son

Henrik, so far so good at Norfolk. I've been checking my own traffic and I seem to have found some good windows, my ships seem to be following your traffic in and out.
