Help with XML gauge

#1
Hello.
I'm trying to make working a starter push-button protected with a cap, but i'm a bit newbie...
I have 3 bitmaps: one with the cap over the start button, one with the start button uncapped, and one with start button uncapped and pushed.
I would like to make these actions: the first mouse-click open the cap, the second push the button under the cap and start the engine

I've started with this code, but I'm missing the opencap action:

<Gauge Name="Capped Start Button" Version="1.0">
<Element>
<Select>
<Value>(A:GENERAL SWITCH,bool)</Value>
<Case Value="0">
<Image Name="Button-capped.bmp" ImageSizes="130,224" />
</Case>
<Case Value="1">
<Image Name="Button-uncapped.bmp" ImageSizes="130,224" />
</Case>
</Select>
</Element>
<Element>
<Select>
<Value>(A:GENERAL ENG1 STARTER,bool)</Value>
<Case Value="0">
<Image Name="Button-uncapped.bmp" ImageSizes="130,224" />
</Case>
<Case Value="1">
<Image Name="Button-uncapped-pressed.bmp" ImageSizes="130,224" />
</Case>
</Select>
</Element>
<Mouse>
<Tooltip id="TOOLTIPTEXT_STARTER_SWITCH" />
<Cursor Type="Hand" />
<Click Event="ENGINE_AUTO_START" />
</Mouse>
</Gauge>

Any help is welcome

Well for a start there's no variable "A:GENERAL SWITCH".

You're also missing the position tags for the bitmaps, though I don't know if they default to 0 if unspecified.

Put: GaugeDevDebug=1 in your [PANELS] section of fsx.cfg and that might reveal to you some errors when the gauge first loads.
