Hi all,
I would like to work with the autogen annotator and have my custom building textures used on them, but how do I do that? Where are the textures for Autogen stored?

thanks in advance

Hi,

In the annotator properties you can select which texture file is used for the autogen files. Be aware that the texture should be structured as explained in the sdk.

And don't forget to include a night texture!
With the filename ending in "LM"!!:eek:
Or the sim will get confused and you'll end up with invisible walls!!!:eek::eek:

P.S.: They are stored in the main FSX texture folder.

In the autogen anotator, can I use more than 1 texture sheet per phototexture? And can I have defined exactly where I have highrise and normal houses?

Hi,

No, per autogen tile you can have only one texture and one distribution between the different buildings heights. You don't have finer control. Each tile covers around 1 by 1 kilometer.

Also I am not sure how easy it is to set a texture per tile in annotator if you load a bigger photo scenery. Technically each tile can be different, but I am not sure if annotator supports that.

if I change it to 1024x1024, do I need to do any others changes in text docs or so? Or can I just re-size the autogen texture?
thanks

Hi,

You can just resize the texture if you want, no changes in the autogen are needed for that.
