• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Exactly, I am sure the Content path is not correct as the window above to the right dont find anything...here again:

Sorry - are you saying the content path is as shown in your screenshot. That is pointing to ADE. I am still not sure what you are trying to do. Find base airport bgl files or what?

The content path is the one that you set when you installed the sim and contains the Official and Community folders. It has nothing to do with ADE except ADE looks for it. In my case I specified D:\FS2020 for my content path and that is found by ADE and is where my content folders are

OK, now I got it to work fine after having investigated the location of my MSFS installation and pointed at it in the settings. One final question: can I load an airport that I have modified in the MSFS SDK devmode and make further editing in ADE? IF yes, which selection of loading alternatives is recommended and how to point at that particular package?

It depends on what is in the airport project. Basically you would need to create a new ADE project from XML and use the XML source from the Dev Mode project. Then copy any custom models and add back any scenery polys.

The intention is that ADE will be able to read any project file and convert it to suit the ADE folder structure but that is not there yet (Maybe alpha 20)

Also the next alpha (19) will allow two way editing - that is working on a single project in ADE and Dev Mode at the same time. This will still be based on an ADE project though
