• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.

FSX Increasing Autogen Density/Seasons

1) I know you can increase the autogen density via the .cfg but can you set a density in the Annotator and if so how?

And 2). what do you set to ensure you get the seasonal variations in your autogen trees.

I have set my seasons/variations under Aerial Imagery to September because that is the month we are in.

Is that all you have to do?

Regards

There is no way to set density via the Annotator.

If you set September as the only month for you photoreal, then it will only show in September. The seasonal autogen are controlled by the Seasons.bgl

Having set my Season/variation to September and installed my AGN files in the appropriate place I loaded FSX at my location on that date. In fact it was yesteday 22/9/10.

The only way in which I could think of to see if I would get seasonal variations was to actually change the month, which I did and yes the tree foliage changed accordingly.

So from that I assume that if you set the season/variation to the month you are in then that is what you get and the seasonal change happens automatically.
