• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v5 Intersecting runways traffic go around issue

After activating intersecting runways with the crosswind technic in ADE, there is issue where approaching AI are going around if an aircraft pass the intersection point while rolling on the other runway. Is there a fix to avoid this or a known limitation?

I believe it would be best to contact LM concerning this behavior. They would have a better clue in telling you if it is a bug or not.

That doesn't happen in FS9, and I doubt it does in FSX.

One thing you could try would be to remove the node connecting the two runway paths, using ADE (for example).

I had this problem when using FSX doing a afcad for KHOU. About put me over the edge. I then found Jim Viles tutorial on crossing runways. Should help you.

Yes, remove the node connecting the runways as @tgibson sugests.

Another reason for removing this node, it stops AI traffic using the active runways as a taxiway in the Xwind setup,
in a normal/default airport setup AI traffic will use runways as a taxiway.

I tried removing the intersection node from runway link but the go arounds still seem to happen as before, perhaps something has changed with p3d v5?

Go around's could mean heavy traffic too, do departures work ok?
Is this one particular airport or does this happen at other airports as well?
are you sure the crosswind runways are active? how many runways?
