I am trying to learn substannce painter and I am just starting to understand the basics. However it seems like there are only tutorials for assets such as a wood box, a medieval house or some scifi spaceship. After watching these kind of tutorials and then loading my unwrapped terminal 3d model or a hangar into subbstance i have absolutely no idea where to start.
I am starting to think that this tool is meant for artists to create unique assets with insane detail and not really for the recreation of photorealistic realworld buildings. Maybe I am missing out on something but i am not sure if it is worth for me to push on with substance.
I'd be interested what you think and how many of you are using substance painter for scenery design? Also maybe someone could point me to a tutorial that is actually useful for my purpose because as i mentioned before i kind of understand the basics of materials, masking, layers, smartmaterials, etc. but I just cant see how I can ever get a photorealistic terminal building for example with just a few preset materials with fancy pbr attributes.
