• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I recently started on this project because I felt that this airport seems to have been forgotten by the development community.

I just recently started and there is not much to show so far since this is a large airport and I am currently working alone.

Some of my goals for this scenery project are:
- An accurate, up to date, and detailed representation of KMSP
- An accurate representation of the Minneapolis and St. Paul Skylines as well as landmarks such as the Mall of America and also Target Field and the new Vikings stadium.
- Surrounding minor airports such as Flying Cloud Municipal and St. Paul Downtown Airport.
- An FSX version

Here are some screen shots of some progress.

Very ambitious project, lots of work! I would stick with one sim version for this amount of work. Best of luck, the modeling looks good.

If you need any help I would be more than willing! I'm just finishing up with my Amarillo photoreal scenery and could work on some of the smaller airports around the airport, not looking for any kind of payment either! message me up at mhscenery@gmail.com if your interested

Didn't know that KMSP is that big. Hope you manage it to bring this one to FSX!

Very nice!

I live right next door to Fleming Field (KSGS) so MSP aint too far away.

I will be following this thread closely ;)

Is that so? My grandparents used to live right at the end of runway 34. :p

After KMSP is finished, I am going to move on to Flying Cloud and St. Paul Downtown and I was thinking about doing KSGS as well.

First shots from the sim! (Sorry about the image quality, my computer does not like anti-aliasing in FS9)
