Good day,
I'm planning to resume model again and the airport I would create have a runway which extend itself for 100m over the sea. Instead of modify coastline wioth VTP I would prefer to create a model of the extented surface, then place my gmax groundpoly.
Which is the best way to achive this? I've seen that may airports such Trondheim X faced this problem.

Hello Ras78,
-
For sure somes "skilled ones" will answer soon.
-
For me I would do that simply with ADE.
-
If you add the proper polygon for landclass on the 100 m you need.
Then add your runway on.
Or a gmax poly (if it's needed) as a library object.
-
The whole at the good elevation
If I remember well you will have the job done ...
-
If you are not easy with ADE.
Take time.
It's really a powerfull tool for this kind of mods.
-
But there is certainly a lot of other ways ...
-
Daniel.

Yes it does. But it's just a more powerful version of AFCAD (especially in its FS9 version). So it won't do anything more than AFCAD would in this case.
