• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I've used a bunch of different systems over the years (FSEconomy, FSPassengers, VAFS, Just Flight, whatever Delta Virtual uses, and I'm sure some others I'm forgetting), and while they all have their niche none of them have everything to fully immerse yourself, push you to better yourself, and have a full on progressive career in the world of aviation. After waiting years for the ultimate simulation tracker / environment, and building a PoC over the last couple of days, I've set out to build one myself.

I'm looking for one NodeJS developer who is familiar with some combination of:
  1. FAA flight requirements (lights, speed limits, pressure settings, maintenance schedules, airport operations, etc)
  2. FAA pilot requirements (IFR, CPL, Duel-engine, PIC hourly limits, etc)
  3. FBO / Airport operations (maintenance, fuel, hangers, passenger / cargo terminals, employees, etc)
I'm also looking for one web designer who can assist in building the interface. The web designer should be well versed in:
  1. HTML
  2. CSS/SCSS
  3. Material Design
  4. (if possible) Angular
I could also use a C/C++ developer to help wire parts of the SimConnect client to the node application. I'm using https://github.com/EvenAR/node-simconnect/blob/master/src/addon.cc as a starting point, but not all features of the SimConnect client are built out.

While there is income potential for this project, there will be a lot of upfront work that will be unpaid, and income is not guaranteed at any point in the project. Because of this, I'm trying to keep the number of devs low, and will only be accepting 2 or 3 so each of us don't have to split the income too much. Developers interested should join this project because they're excited about building a fully featured flight simulation environment, and not a job that will produce income for them. Please reach out to me directly if interested. Thanks!
