• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Good work guys, I'd been using your FS9 version in FSX.

Now it's time to move on to the real FSX version! :)

A question: Are there any plans for a LHBP scenery?

Wow, this looks amazing! Are those approach runways scasm or custom made? I have to agree they look awesome! And did you get the train to mave as you wanted?

They are scasm lamps.

The animation works however not the extended one. And as it is a standard animation exported from gmax it is not smooth. We are not aware of the know-how of the very smooth vehicle animation e.g. In the aerosoft Frankfurt. But I think for a freeware project this is also enough.

Now I know why do you like so much the approach lights. The 2nd shot right?

The trick is that we painted the reflection of the light on the ground poly. So not only a white point is visible, but it looks like it's also projecting on the ground some light. This method was used all over the scenery. It gives a very realistic look.

Amazing! I was about to make an approach light and have a plane with an alpha channeled white light mimicking a reflection on the ground for the _lm and an invisible plane (complete black alpha) for the daytime. It seems it would be more crisper compared to the painting on the plane itself since my DXT3 night textures don't look so crisp. Thoughts?

Thanks, Ryan

We tried that as well but it was not perfect. Sometimes it was flickering. And of course you are using more poly...

Painting on the background texture is a little bit more difficult because you do not see where the lights are when you paint it in photoshop. But if you manage it the result is worth of it.
