Library creator for Prepar4d v4.5?

Hi,
My Librarycreator is based on Prepar3D V4.4. That is the last line in the Settings window and it will not work in V4.5.
Is there a special version for 4.5? and if so, where can I download it?

Hi,

P3D v4.4 and v4.5 are almost identical, so it should work on both. Just make sure the 4.4 SDK path points to the 4.5 SDK.

What kind of error do you get when it does not work?

You choose the path to your v4.5 bglcomp.exe in the settings (v4.4 line)...
This is how it works for me.

Hi all,
But by now I have migrated to Prepar3D V5. Does that require special versions of ModelMaker and LibraryCreator? Ifso, where can I download them?
BNest regards,

Hi,

Two days ago I have updated the development release version of MCX and Library Creator XML so that they will also detect the P3D v5 SDK. So if you grab the latest versions you should be good to go.

Since there is no difference in the file format compared to P3D v4.4 you would still have to export as P3D v4.4 MDL/BGL in the tools.

Hello Arno,
Please indicate where I can download these versions. When looking for the programnames I only can find 2012-versions.

Hi Arno,

I downloaded the MCX development release and the most recent links of the xtomdl and bgl comp are for P3D v4.4 still. Is they still the same as the P3V v4.4 bgl comp, I have linked this v4.4to my v5.1.8 SDK and it seems to work fine. Someone said using the newest bglcomp will increase performance.

Kind regards,

Shaun.

Hi,

When the paths entered are not valid MCX will use the registry to fill them. It will use the latest sdk first in thst case, so v5 is preferred over v4.5 and v4.4. But when the paths are valid those are just used.

I doubt you will see performance differences though, the file formats have hardly changed.
