• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Logo Light Switch on Project Airbus A380

I wasn't really sure where to post this. My apologies if this is not the correct forum.

I have downloaded the Project Airbus A380-800. THE PA380 was designed for FS2004 apparently, but has been ported over to work in FSX. The FSX version does have a VC and utilizes a Tom Ruth A340 Overhead display in the VC. It uses the default FSX A321 overhead in the 2D view, so you are missing 2 generator switches and two bleed air switches, but that is beside the point as I try to use the VC view whenever possible.

Using the VC there are toggle switches for the Landing, Taxi, Beacon, Wing, Strobe, Nav, and NAV&Logo lights. These all work with the exception of the NAV&Logo switch. The vertical fin/tail texture is A380_1_T.bmp and there is a corresponding light splash bitmap labeled A380_1_L.bmp.

Unfortunately, toggling the NAV&Logo switch does not generate a light effect on the vertical fin (nor does it turn on or turn off the NAV Lights, but the NAV toggle does this just fine). Toggling NAV&Logo appears to do nothing and acts as if it is a dummy switch for appearance only.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to make this toggle work or add a new toggle specifically for the Logo light? I've looked at the xml code for the Tom Ruth Overhead and found two sections that mention Logo, but do not really understand what the code is trying to do. Both entries only reference the bitmap for the switch, not the action the switch generates, but in all honesty, I know very little about xml gauges.
