Hi,

I would have seen this earlier if you had posted it on the MCX sub-forum :)

Do you mean that you can't create a new spotlight or do you mean that it does not render for an object that already has spotlights?

Sorry Arno
it does not show up in MCX when I am starting to do a fresh one. Also but that has been the case from the beginning, nothing that I did care to much about is that when you open a bgl containing the spot fx. it does not show up.
I wonder does a spotlight fx made for p3d v4.4 works it also for p3d v5.
There is a also a known bug that the effect does not show up when arriving from a another airport. Have not manage to solve that yet. Maybe you know.
Thanks

And stupid question, you have the show spot lights option enabled as well?

Hi,

I have double checked today, but when I create a spot light in the attached object editor, I see it correctly illuminating the object in the preview.

Do you see the lines of the cone of the spot light in the preview or is that also not visible?

Did you turn the night mode on as well?

Hi,

Like it wrote before I tested making a spot light and that worked. So not sure what you are doing different. Maybe you can show how your light looks in the attached object editor?

Hello it works now. I did put in some lines in the attached object editor for night and dusk dawn and now I can see the effects again.
Do you have a cure for the effect when arriving from another airport. The effects has or it is a bug that make the effect not showing up?

That FS does not always load effects when you arrive at a new airport is a known bug in the sim. I'm not aware of a workaround for that.
