P3D v4 Model Converter X Not Exporting

I just about one problem fixed that took two days and hours and I designed a hedgerow for an airport in Sketchup 2017 which is now fixed; exported the dae and after it opened perfectly in Model Converter X latest version, it won't export without a ton of errors to P3D V4 bgl. So, after trying two different ways and redoing the options bgl comp locations, I put the dae on a flash drive with the textures and opened it up in MDCx on my Windows 7 laptop and it only has FSX so I exported it perfectly with no problems as an FSX.bgl

Seeing that this worked, I tried the same thing back on the Desktop and IT exported perfectly as an FSX.bgl too. So...guys, what is going on if you can give me a suggestion or what you need to see to tell from me like error codes from MDCx or something. Attached is the collada file and the three jpg textures from Skietchup 2017.

Hi,

I can export it without any errors to a P3D v4 MDL file here. So what kind of errors do you get?

Trying to export to a bgl not mdl. FSX bgl works fine and is usable in P3D V4.5 but I would like to have it native.

Export to BGL also works fine (the BGL just wraps the MDL in a library). So what kind of errors do you get?

it does not create a bgl. I will try again and see if itworks now that everything else seems to.

whatever was going on isn't anymore and it exported a bgl just fine. Thank you for taking the time...sorry for the trouble.

I don't know what I did before unless it was exporting an FSX bgl that worked because they still do. Now I get a compiler error whenever I try and export a P3D V4 OR V4.4 bgl or mdl. Compiler error but it says FSX X to MDL error so I redid the options exporter but it still doesn't work. I think I am going to try and reinstall Model Converter X because I had a bunch of programs corrupted last week and had to install a bunch of new drivers with a paid program. Fortunately I have 60 day trial to decide if I keep it or not from my AVG virus preventer. The Collada is perfectly imported into MDCx but neither an MDL or BGL in the Prepar3D format works. Here are the lines of error codes:
XtoMDL.exe unhandled exception SystemIO file not found exception Error at Microsoft Flight Simulator.XtoMDL.XtoMDL.Process Inputs () Error at Microsoft Flight Simulator.XtoMDL.XtoMDL(String[] args) By the Way I do not have MSFS on here, I can't run it with my graphics card.
The above are the red error codes lines when it fails. Any ideas what is going on and how to fix it or is it something still corrupted on the computer. This is a brand new install download from your site. Very frustrating when FSX work and Prepar3D V4.4 doesn't in the same program.

Can you show the full error log? I suspect XtoMdl generated more errors. Looks like XtoMdl can't load some file, you might want to check your SDK installation is complete.

I tried to copy/paste it into Notepad++ but a right click does nothing. I would be happy to do that, tell me how. I just looked in the program but did not see anywhere the error log would be. I will also download the SDK from online again and see if any files are missing. It's a bummer you are hours ahead or I am hours behind. I just got able to open up the emails.

Got a brand new download of the Prepar3D V4.5 SDK from Prepar3D. Ran it as the administrator and it asked for repair or uninstall so obviously said repair. Ran it. Went to MDCx and uploaded a Collada file of the pine tree that was the latest I tried yesterday and still no joy, a bunch of errors and it failed. Again it perfectly compiles it for FSX with Model Converter X. So...tell me how to send you the entire error log to find out was is wrong and I will send it right away and thank you for helping. That is...if this storm doesn't knock out the internet or worse the power in an all-electric home.

You can save the event log to a txt file and then attach it here. There is a save button near the log window.

It is a blank box doesn't say save but I finally found it.

So the issue is with the SlimDX.dll file. I assume you have that file in your XtoMDL folder? In that case the issue is that you do not have the Visual C++ 2013 and 2015 runtime files installed on your machine.

The issue of the missing icon on that button has been fixed in the latest build already.

I just repaired both the Visual C++ 2013 and 2015 programs; restarted the computer as it says. Here is the latest error log saved. I thought I HAD the latest development of MDC and it's not labeled but then maybe I don't. I just downloaded and installed it to try and fix this.

I also checked the OPTIONS in MDCx and saw that in the Export Options that the XtoMDL for P3DV4 and P3DV4.4 were the top 2012 so I changed them to the 2019 64bit XtoMDL but that apparently didn't make any difference. Anyway, XtoMDL is in everyone of the folders in the SDK. Still the same errors. I downloaded SLIMDx.dll but haven't run it yet to hear from you about this latest error log.. Also DID install the latest version of MDCx and now got the labels on the savelog. And I repaired every one of the 64bitVisual C++ 2012, 2013, 2015-2022 and it still doesn't make any difference. I never had this problem until I tried to download a FlyTampa Amsterdam that I owned and everything went to the garbage. All programs are fixed except for MDCx's compiling bgl's for Prepar3D V4.4. The FSX compile of both bgl and mdl works perfectly. I am going to attach a new error log with all these changes made including the latest version.

This LM P3D SDK is their latest downloaded and installed yesterday. Som, I had an inspiration and checked in P3D SDK and in Modeling every one of the 3DSmax 3DS20XX have the Slimdx.dll in them so why can't it find the dll?

That still seems to be the same error.

Did you install the x64 or x86 version of the runtime files? It should match what the build of XtoMdl.

X64 however there also are x86 because I have both FSX and P3D installed because of scenery development testing

You will need both the x86 for FSX and 64-bit for P3D.

Both should be removed and reinstalled. Sounds like 1 or the other has gotten corrupted.

Or

You don't have the correct one being used for FSX or it's not pointed to the correct XtoXml. Make sure MCX is calling on the correct SDK.

Another thing that might be involved is DirectX itself, but since the FSX export works I assume you have that installed correctly.

Doug I would say the the correct one IS there for FSX because export for it works perfectly. I have repaired the Visual C++ all the 64bit ones but I can uninstall them and reinstall them and see if that works. I have to reinstall after the FlyTampa disaster but I'll try again because everything else has been downloaded and reinstalled and all work except for Model Convert X only working for FSX.
