• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I exported a model via blender2fsx and when i want to apply earth curve correction to the model suddenly mcx viewport become like this.Sometimes after applying the curve correction, itll flicker some broken grey color on the viewport.
Im using blender2.79 with blender2p3dfsx 0.9.5 and latest ver of mcx
Thanks in advance

Hi,

I have never seen such a background before :). You might want to try to just export the model anyway, as the preview has no influence on exporting.

If you open the model again does it show correctly then?

I tried and it worked.but still a few error when i attach the spotlight effect.

I had always thought Earth curvature correction was for ground polygons and I had been of the belief that ground polygons can't be animated. If that is the case, there might be an issue with the "RUNWAY_EDGE_001" animation.

The earth curve correction can also be used for non ground polygons. If you have a object with a group of buildings or another large structure like approach lights you will else run into issues due to the curve.

That warning when importing X file is quite normal. Often the X file specifies an animation name for all nodes and the xanim file only contains a few. In that case you get this warning, but nothing is wrong.

@arno
inside the zip file is the video of the viewport problem i mentioned .It does export stuff normally but sometimes ill do a final check b4 exporting the file to see whether it loads the correct texture. Some model will behave like in the video, while some after i load them in mcx,the viewport will go dark grey just like at the end of the video.
thanks in advance. :)

Hi,

I had a look at your video, but I am not sure what I am seeing there. When you first load the model there is a flickering gray polygon already, where does that come from?

hi, in the video, im trying to load a model to be converted into final bgl output. As in the video, after i import the model, theres that gray flickering polygon which i dont know why and where it appear from. Then as i click the earth curve correction, the whole viewport just become a solid gray. the problem here is the flickeri g gray thingy and the whole viewport become blank. thanks in advance :)

I would try to find out in the hierarchy editor where that graying flickering polygon comes from. It might be part of some modelpart.

i tryl loading other model both in mdl and x format, theyre all the same. i even try loading bgl from other scenery and it still resulting with either flickering viewport or blank viewport. I did some digging in my pc and found mcx from d year 2018,and thats the only version that i can use at the moment without oit any issue

If you look in the hierarchy editor do you see any part that the gray polygon belongs to?

What kind of graphics card does your computer have?

That shouldn't be the problem then.

So you have those flickering polygons with any model? I haven't seen that before.

The filckering appear in all model i opened in MCX.Be it in x,mdl or bgl format. But so far the GP wizard work like normal.

That's really weird, I have no seen that before. I suspect it might be something related to the graphics driver or so.
