• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Guys, I definitely recommend reading the flight manual -- you really do need to start your flight in a certain manner or none of it works as intended.

Really what we need is some helpful soul to come along and create a nice tutorial flight video for the rest of us.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm not getting textures on the flying controls in the VC in FSX.

@Heater still working on it.

try to self solving:
do you have DXTBmp software (freeware)? can you use it?
if no, then wait other report for that texture.
if yes, would you reconvert dds file in texture folder using DXTBmp software. file: CV-22B_trotstick.dds

I got this too but in my case the controls are black.

Opening and saving CV-22B_trotstick.dds with DXTBmp fixed the problem for me. FSX-SE, Win7-64.

Yes, you are absolutely right about the necessity to read the FlightManual.

To avoid any disappointments: this is NOT a download-unzip-and-fly addon.
It's packed with realisme features and systems, which makes it more difficult to fly initially then a default aircraft.
Like:
- Engines need to be started with the StarterLevers (Cntr-E doesn't work) and the APU On.(on the VC overhead panel).
- You need specific controls to control the nacelles (default: via keys/buttons assigned to AileronTrim). See especially the last chapter of the FM.
- You need to have FSUIPC (unregistered version suffices) installed and working.
- You cannot perform VTOL when total weight > ca. 50.000 lbs (you have to drop fuel and/or payload).

Furthermore:
- There ARE some animation restrictions in SC/MP operation (for the remote aircraft)
- In case you wonder why both proprotors visually start to rotate when you start only one engine: that's realisme ...LoL

The FM also describes how you can make initial Cold&Dark and Flight-Ready flights, and save them for future use.

But the good news is, that once you created/saved such standard flights, reloading it a next time will give you a defined situation (generally: the state you saved the aircraft in).
Like: when you reload a saved flight-ready flight, you don't need to go through the hassle of systems/engines startup.
Unlike some other advanced aircraft addons, where you have to go through a (sometimes) lengthy startup procedure each time you load the aircraft ......

As a sidenote: we have tested this addon with a few betatesters, on various P3D/FSX platforms.
So no doubt issues will pop when other simmers start using this addon, since the permutations of FSX/P3D versions, OS-versions, used HW and FS settings is endless; and it's impossible to test this all for a first release.
Hope you understand ....

Best regards,
Rob

Im am making a walk-through video on the systems for this release, although I highly encourage Ripcord and Robs advice on reading the manual. Like Rob said, This isnt just an install-n'-fly type of plane. It is rather complex. @kalong: Ill be busy over the next few days and wont have much time on the video, Ill try and get it out asap.

It's exactly what I encountered aswell in FSXA and What I tried to describe in my post above. Just didn't have the time for a screenshot.
Also happens on both sides, above and behind.
Hmm thats strange, none of us beta testers had this issue.
