• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Need help with textures under apron MSFS

I am using ADE for MSFS..I am redoing the KINT airport and have removed alot of useless aprons etc however when I do that I have all these images of previous stuff still showing. How would I cover that help with say regular old grass.. If I use ADE...if it not showing..what then or do I have to go inside MSFS and use it..rather not lol.

There are several ways to do that using an Apron with a grass surface. GrassGround01 can be used if you want a lush green turf.

Change the RGB values by trial and error (e.g. Blue 20, Green 100 and Red 80) to get the coloring you like.

To erase the underlying images you can use Taxi_Grass ERASE_GRASS. The coloration values don't matter but set ColorationEnabled to False. Set Tiling and set the Flags as shown.

Thanks.......Another question....if I have already deleted apron and all I see is saw default yellow on screen in ade but then I load MSFS and then see the images as above...do I need to go back and start over with the airport because then it will load all the crappy stuff from MSFS..twisted apron and all kinds of "Expletive" When I load if I load the project from F20 folder or the xml in the community folder..make sense because I don't want to have two different sceneries. If it were up to me..I would delete the MSFS one all together.. Thanks really @SMWilliams and everybody..
 
I am not sure I understand. When you do the build you select "Copy to Community Folder". If the airport is in the Community folder MSFS loads from there and not from stock.
